The close and trusting partnership between the German KNX manufacturer MDT and the Italian KNX planning specialist Ergo goes back 15 years. With the takeover on 1 January 2025, all Italian employees will join the KNXperts team. 

The Italian team has a long history with KNX: founded in 2010, the focus from the outset was on user-orientated building automation with KNX. To date, the team has supported over a thousand projects with project planning and product sales. 

MDT CEO Roger Karner says: ‘I am very pleased about the successful merger. Roland Stockner and his team have made KNX and MDT well known, especially in Italy, and led them to success. I am delighted to welcome them into the MDT family and to work with them to shape building automation throughout the Italian market.’ 

The merger is an enrichment for both sides: the experienced, KNX-enthusiastic sales professionals from Italy will work even more closely with the teams in Engelskirchen in future.
