For more than 40 years, MDT technologies has been developing and manufacturing electronic products in Engelskirchen, Germany. Since 2020, MDT has been supported and accompanied by IK Partners. Under the leadership of CEO Roger Karner, MDT has further expanded its activities, setup subsidiaries in Europe and India and acquired four companies to join the MDT Group. Alongside strong revenue growth, the innovative product portfolio doubled, as did the number of employees. The headquarter in Engelskirchen, Germany, was expanded to include an additional building, sustainable, innovative and scalable, to prepare for future growth. 

The successes of recent years also set the course for a new chapter on the path to becoming a globally leading provider of smart building automation. The collaboration with IK Partners was characterized by mutual trust, growth, and success. With the sale of IK Partners' shares to Bregal Unternehmerkapital, MDT will benefit from another strong partner to execute its ongoing growth strategy.

Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed and completion remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
